Rows of eight-pointed stars in pink, rust and brown, each set on its own square, framed by a deep striped border. The grid keeps it orderly; the fabrics — the stars are cut from many different prints — keep it alive. Farmhouse wall art in the old sense of the word.
The star is the LeMoyne Star, one of the classic American blocks: eight diamonds meeting in the centre.
What this is. A giclée reproduction printed with pigment inks from a photograph of the quilt. It is not a textile and is not sold as one — the quilt itself, pieced by hand in the United States between 1875 and 1900, is in a museum.

The frame
Giclée on 200 gsm FSC-certified fine art paper, twelve pigment inks, white border. Slim black aluminium frame, glazed with clear plexiglass instead of glass, so it travels safely.
