We tell you which collection every image came from. It would be odd not to tell you who prints it.
Museartis works with Gelato, a Norwegian production network with more than 250 partner printers in 32 countries. Your order is produced at the facility nearest to you — in the United States, the United Kingdom or Germany for most of our customers — which is why a print reaches you in a few days and usually without import charges.
What that means in practice
Nothing is printed until you order it. There is no warehouse, no stock, no overproduction. A sheet exists because someone asked for it.
Every print is made as a giclée: twelve pigment inks on 200 gsm FSC-certified enhanced matte paper, acid-free, with a smooth matte surface. Twelve inks rather than the usual four is the whole point — the extra greys and blacks are where a 500-year-old woodcut lives. Pigment inks on archival paper are rated for over a hundred years indoors without significant fading.
Packaging is white — no invoice inside, no third-party logos — and made from recycled kraft paper.
Why we say so
Print-on-demand has a reputation, and much of it is earned. Most shops using it would rather you did not know. We think the transparency belongs here for the same reason the inventory number belongs on the product page: you should be able to check.
The paper is an enhanced matte fine art stock, not a cotton rag. We say so plainly rather than letting the word giclée do work it should not do. It is archival, it is FSC certified, and it holds the tonal range of an engraving better than any poster paper — and it is not the hand-made sheet the original was printed on. Nothing is.
